If you like those lines at the voting booth

...you'll love those Real ID lines at your state DMV starting in 2008!!

Seriously.

AAMVA told you back in late September that unless DHS accepts the recommended state solutions for Real ID, consumers (that means you), will be spending twice as much time in line at your local DMV.

Think about it.  You vote about every two years and you only visit DMV about once every four years.  So, you're more likely to spend more time in line at your local voting booth than in line at DMV!!!  Of course no one has seen DHS' official rules Real ID, so things could change.

Just a thought.  What do you think?

Until next time, stay safe behind the wheel.
