What did the Dems say about the 9/11 recommendations?

In yesterday's CQ, the Democrats were noted as saying that, among other things, they will work to implement the remaining recommendations from the 9/11 commission.

This is good news to driver's license security advocates and all drivers nationwide!!

Why?

Because driver's license security was first addressed in the 9/11 report and then included, yet repealed from the Intelligence Reform Act of 2004.

In case you're just tuning in though, those driver's license provisions in the Intelligence Reform Act were later repealed by, and reshaped into, the Real ID Act.

It is encouraging to hear that our incoming majority party is committed to driver's license security issues.  We are too.

Until next time, stay safe behind the wheel
