Only time will tell

If only one or two bloggers reports the news, and the mainstream press holds on the same story, you have a question to ask yourself.  Are the blogger's telling the truth?

Such is the case in the recent claims by blogger and privacy extremist Bill Scannell who says he has portions of the Real ID regulations recently submitted by DHS to OMB.

Now a couple of media outlets, Wired and Homeland Stupidity, have taken Bill's hype and run with the story.  But Spencer Hsu of the Washington Post, with whom I talked on Friday, January 13 has yet to go with his story.  And Spencer has the same info the bloggers have reported.

So, why haven't you seen this same story in the Post?

Well, I believe you have to want the truth and be willing to put in the extra effort to search for the truth.  Hsu, in my opinion, is still searching for the truth.  And, quite frankly, readers deserve that much.

Scannell's claims may prove to be more than just hype.  But only time will tell.

Until next time, stay safe behind the wheel.
